HTC One Max passes FCC hurdle?

It sounds like the long-rumoured HTC One Max is one step closer to its official reveal.

This morning Phone Arena pointed out that a HTC handset by the mysterious model name of the 0P3P510, has been cleared by the FCC. As the site points out, this isn’t necessarily the HTC One Max itself, but the software version of the device is identified as ‘T6UL’, and T6 is largely thought to be the internal codename for the company’s unannounced phablet.

Unfortunately the listing doesn’t provide much more in the way of details, although from past stories we know that it will come packing new camera features and a finger print scanner just like the iPhone 5s. There should also be a removable battery and Bluetooth 4.0, supporting LTE band 7. Hopefully the phone will come packing enough to measure up to its rivals such as Samsung’s Galaxy Note series.

More recently we heard that the phone might even be launching on October 15, which is two weeks from today.
