Google rolls out App Translation Service to all devs

Android is the largest smartphone operating system on the planet, with a presence in almost every country — but if you’re an app developer you may not speak one of the estimated 6909 languages in the world, thankfully now you don’t have to thanks to Google’s app translation feature which is now rolling out to all developers.

Of course Google isn’t supporting every single language known to man, but you’ll find a large list meaning you can gain new users from all over the globe even if you don’t speak the same language. The service isn’t free, with Google charging $75 per language translated into for small apps, or $150 for large apps.

The App Translation Service was first announced back at I/O 2013 earlier this year, but was only open to a select number of developers, but due to some great feedback the company has seen fit to release the service to everyone who builds apps for the Android OS.
