A Google Play update has hit the Android OS today, aimed at tablet users. The Play Store now pushes apps that are optimised for tablets.

If you’re accessing the store on a tablet you should now see a ‘Designed for tablets’ section. Here you’ll find apps that have been built with the big screen devices in mind. To help sort things out a bit there’ll be a designed for ‘Designed for phones’ section too.

It’s a Google Play update that’s been promised for a little while. It brings it a bit more up to speed with the iOS App Store, which does the very same thing.
