Whilst it has not been officially announced yet, the Google Nexus 7 2 has already made its way into the hands of the guys over at Android Police, who have posted their very own unboxing video.

It wasn’t just the device’s exterior we got the chance to look at though, with the device being put through its paces in various benchmarking tests, proving that it’s just as powerful as it is beautiful.

We finally have confirmation that it is running on a 1.51GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 pro, although the RAM rumours were proven to be unfounded, with only 2GB present.

The Google Nexus 7 2 does come with Android 4.3 out of the box, joining the unannounced Nexus 4 in doing so.

According to Android Police, the Google Nexus 7 2 performs slightly better than the new Nexus 4, although they did note that it was still a strangely low score.

One thing that did impress them though is the 7-inch touchscreen, which features an eye watering 1920×1200 resolution, which is works out as 320ppi — considerably more than the iPad with Retina Display.

We won’t have to wait that much longer for this device to be official, with all rumours pointing to tomorrow for its unveiling.
