October is shaping up to be one of the busiest months of the year thanks to the sheer amount of rumours, releases and announcements. We’re just over 10 days in and the news isn’t letting up: it looks like we could see the announcement of Google Android 4.4 update and the Nexus 5 phone next week.
The rumour stems from Launchpad, a developer conference hosted by Google in Europe. Apparently attendees have been informed that both the new phone and the updated OS will be revealed on October 15th. As an in-joke, the company even treated developers to Key Lime Pie and bars of Kit Kat, both of which are used to name the 4.4 update.
This might be a rumour, but we’re certainly expecting the news at some point this month and Tuesday is as good a day as any. Google’s Nexus 5 is and LG phone that iterates on last year’s Nexus 4, while the Google Android 4.4 update has been long-rumoured itself and will include several new features.
