You might have thought that Samsung’s previous camera/phone hybrids were a bit goofy-looking, but the company clearly disagrees. This week it’s announced the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 and it’s still stubbornly shaped like a digital snapper.
Elsewhere the Galaxy Camera 2 has a range of improvements. It’s an Android 4.3 phone with a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS Sensor and a 21x optical zoom. Under the hood is a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage space. The screen is a 4.8-inch LCD display.
But the Galaxy Camera 2 isn’t just about hardware – it’s software is designed around the camera too. It has 28 pre-set shooting modes and can capture video in fast forward or slow motion.
The phone will be available for all to see at CES next week, where Samsung is also likely to announce the price and release date.
