Deezer brings music streaming to US next year

Deezer is a music streaming service from France, currently available in 80 countries across the globe. It covers five million paying subscribers, making it a close rival with the likes of Spotify. In fact, it would well be giving its competitor a run for its money in 2014, as it comes to the US.

The company has avoided the market until now due to over saturation leading to struggles. In other countries its partnered with the likes of Orange to offer exclusive network deals. That could well be the case here too.

Sources suggest that the US launch will be closer to the start of the year, perhaps even in January, though nothing is said to be final just yet.
