Cut the Rope is one of the standout apps that helped launch the iPhone era that we now live in. It sits up there with the likes of Angry Birds and Plants vs Zombies as the definitive game apps. So you should get excited when we say there’s a sequel incoming.
Developer ZeptoLab will bring Cut the Rope 2 to our touch screens later this year, complete with new stages, characters and twists on the classic’s physics-based puzzles. The company is targeting a winter release, so expect it sometime in either November or December. Sadly we don’t have any shots of the game to share at this time, nor do we know which platforms and OS’s it will be launching on.
This release will undoubtedly mean good business for ZeptoLab, which is already celebrating a staggering 400 million downloads of its games, which includes other expansions to the Cut the Rope universe and the wonderfully-titled Pudding Monsters.
Best bid farewell to loved ones now.
