If there was any doubt in your mind that Call of Duty: Ghosts would sell like hotcakes, then allow the latest stats put those doubts to rest – as the latest edition of Activision’s smash-hit first person shooter has gone on to be the best-selling Xbox One and PlayStation 4 game.
Activision has also revealed that Ghosts has gone on to be the most played multiplayer game on the Xbox One, with gamers across all platforms clocking up a total of 1 billion multiplayer matches. Rather unsurprisingly players have prestige more than 2.2 million times, and earned 3.3 trillion XP.
Of course time will tell if Call of Duty will remain the most popular game on the next-generation consoles, with the game being the clear winner of the current gen.
