Blockbuster completely shutting down UK stores – report

Media retailer Blockbuster recently went back in administration and yesterday confirmed it would be closing 72 stores across the UK. Now it’s being reported that every single store across the UK will be going.

Sources have told MCV that every store is to close. Apparently UK operations manager Dave Potter was the one to deliver the bad news. It’s been suggested that all stores will close by December 20th. The retailer currently has 264 outlets across the country. Complete closure would mean the loss of some 2,000 jobs.

Official confirmation is yet to come about, but we’ll keep you updated.
