Apple Watch pre-orders are live, but you may already be too late!
If you really cant wait that long, a limited amount of the new wearable from Apple are set to arrive in store from April 24th, but expect a tussle to be one of the lucky few who get their hands on the strained stock!
So what models are affected? With so many varying editions and straps, they cant all be so hard to get hold of. Can they?
Well, bad news I’m afraid. All 10 iterations of the more affordable Apple Watch Sport aren’t expected to be dispatched for he next 4-6 weeks at the earliest. The same goes for all 8 configurations of the super expensive and luxury Apple Watch Edition which again is looking at a ship date of June/July at the earliest.
While shipping times as vague as 4-6 weeks or simply June isn’t great news for customers, only yesterday Apple warned to expect ‘significant stock restraints’.
Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail and Online Stores, Angela Ahrendts, said.
“Based on the tremendous interest from people visiting our stores, as well as the number of customers who have gone to the Apple Online Store to mark their favourite Apple Watch ahead of availability, we expect that strong customer demand will exceed our supply at launch,”
Thanks to this latest sweep of delays and stock restraints, those wanting to adopt the brand new tech wont actually be getting their hands on it until a good 9 months after its initial unveiling.
Apple, you tease.
