All O2 and Virgin Media customers can now access portable charging stations at 02 Academy venues across the UK, so that gig-lovers don’t have to worry about their phones running out of battery.
O2 and Virgin Media customers with Priority can hire a phone charger for free, by accessing their unique code from the Priority app which can be used at O2 Academy venues with portable charging stations. Non-Priority members will be charged £5 and all chargers will have to be returned post-gigs.
Customers using Apple Pay will have to pay £29 which is refunded on the return of the device.
These portable charging points have already been deployed at O2 academy venues in Brixton and Islington (London), Oxford, Southampton, Birmingham, Liverpool and Edinburgh- and O2 aims to cover all O2 venues by the end of 2022.
