It sounds like Zynga is on track for damage control over the struggles its faced in 2013.
The mobile games company has said that it will make a slim profit overall this year. That said, it will still have to take restructuring charges into account, which could change all that.
Zynga hopes to renew its franchise with a focus on its games and successful brands like Zynga Poker. Active users of the company’s games have halved in Q3 year-on-year, registering at 30 million for 2013 where it was 60 million last year. It also suffered hits in revenue.
Despite this, the company is said to be in a better-than-expected shape. Perhaps its 2014 will see its fortunes shift, but it will have to have a profitable Q4 beforehand.
