Benchmarks for the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 have reportedly been leaked, showing a strong result that catapults it straight to the top of the list.
The phone appeared on Chinese Android benchmarking database Antutu with a huge score of 73,000, beating the Samsung Galaxy S6 (the previous champ) by around 3,000 marks. The chipset that will debut in the upcoming Mi5 is still up for debate, with some sources saying it could be the Snapdragon 820 and others saying it could be the MediaTek Helio X20. Both are strong CPU’s that will likely score higher than previous generation chipsets such as the Exynos 7420, which is found in the Galaxy S6/S6 Edge.
The Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to release in November this year, which is ahead of the planned Snapdragon 820 debut. Could Xiaomi be about to surprise us with the first 820-powered smartphone ahead of schedule?
