Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could come in four versions

A post on Chinese social media claims that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could come in four different variants, each with a slightly different hardware spin.

The leak first appeared as an image post on Weibo, a Chinese Twitter imitation which has become something of a beacon for revealing Asian handsets earlier than they should. The image goes into quite a bit of detail regarding the device, with four possible variants in the works.

It seems like they will all run on the same Snapdragon 821 chipset and include 4GB/6GB RAM inside depending on the model. The 821 will be a turbocharged version of the 820, with higher core clocks but nothing different in the overall architecture. Elsewhere, we can see it will carry a large 4,000mAh battery with quick-charge support.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has multiple display options

Perhaps the primary difference between the handsets will be in regards to the panel itself, as Xiaomi seems to be doing a Samsung by offering both flat and curved displays. You’ll also be able to choose between either a 2K or 1080p panel, while one of them reportedly has ‘Force-Touch’, which we can only assume is a pressure sensitive display.

Pricing information for the cheapest model is listed at 2,499 Yuan (£288.51). while the most expensive model costs 3,499 Yuan (£403.96). No release date information was given.
