Xiaomi have a device called “Gemini” on Geekbench that is achieving amazing scores.

The new device spotted on Geekbench is known as Xiaomi Gemini, it’s quite obviously the Xiaomi Mi 5. Xiaomi are known for giving their new devices code names after constellations, the scores are pointing in that direction too.

According to the benchmark tests, the Gemini will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and 3GB RAM, along with the bench mark scores it is really looking likely to be the Mi5.

The Gemini blows everything out of the water in the single-core category with a score of 2140. Second place is the Nexus 9 with 1885. All apps are coded to run in single core, so it’s quite significant to see that the Gemini can achieve this score. Multi-core boasts an average score of 4762, which isn’t much of a big deal.

Xiaomi’s new device will be the most powerful smartphone on the market once it’s released. It’s still unclear which processor the Gemini is running, but will be most likely the Snapdragon 820 or MediaTek Helio X20. The Mi 5 was expected to be announced yesterday after a teaser was shown on the company’s Weibo page.
