VAIO has announced a brand new handset that will run on the Windows 10 Mobile operating system.

Recently single smartphone manufacturer VAIO has taken the wraps off its newest handset, the VAIO Phone Biz running Windows 10. This new device is made out of full aluminium and features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 13 megapixel camera, Snapdragon 617 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 2800mAh battery and a microSD slot (up to 64GB). Contrary to Microsoft has said previously, the device also supports Continuum, despite being mid-range hardware. Quite how fluid the experience will be, remains to be seen…

The VAIO Phone Biz will be available from April for around ¥50,000 (£290) in Japanese markets, though its unlikely we will see it in the UK. The company is also partnering with Japanese carrier NTT Docomo to include various applications and network support.
