Footballer James Milner hit headlines this week when he made a move from Manchester City to Liverpool FC. As well as being a workhorse who can play well in most positions on the pitch, he’s also famous for the spoof @BoringMilner Twitter account (not run by Milner) that hilariously portrays him as the dullest footballer ever.
But far from being drab, the account has gathered over 400,000 followers looking forward to @BoringMilner’s mundane thoughts that are presented in an funny way. Particularly gripping highlights included whether he’s remembered to do the ironing, what he’s had for dinner and banter with Gareth Barry about breakfast.
Boring James Milner is easily one of our favourite spoof Twitter accounts and one you should definitely follow along with these others.
@BoringMilner – Parodying the England, Liverpool and ex-Manchester City midfielder as football’s dullest man. Don’t let that put you off though, Boring James Milner’s dry humour will give you plenty of laughs.
@wengerknowsbest – Full of wise opinion and commentary from the Arsenal boss.
@DeathStarPR – The Death Star isn’t such a bad thing, and its ‘PR’ team are desperate to remind you of that.
@notzuckerberg – Not Mark Zuckerberg isn’t afraid to tell you what he thinks, no matter how damaging it could be to Facebook’s reputation. Good job this isn’t actually, erm, Mark Zuckerberg then.
@KimKierkegaard – Who knew the red carpet and philosophy could go so well together? Kim Kierkegaard hilariously combines the everyday thoughts of celebrity Kim Kardashian with the musings of Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard.
