A London-based company who develops and manufactures replica Film/ TV memorabilia has just revealed a faithful Star Trek Bluetooth Communicator remake.

The Star Trek communicator is a pretty iconic piece of TV memorabilia that even those unfamiliar with the franchise will recognise. William Shatner used it for communicating with his companions and transporting back to the ship, which is where the classic phrase “beam me up, Scotty” got its origins.

Well, now you can be just like Shatner 24/7, as a new Bluetooth communicator is available to pre-order that offers a near perfect copy of the classic device. Essentially a glorified Bluetooth handset, you’ll be able to pair it with your device and talk to friends all while being the coolest guy in the bar. Probably.

The news comes via The Verge, which states that the device will cost $149.99 from the Star Trek Store and will be a 1 to 1 copy of the original communicator from the series. As you would expect in a device from the future, wireless charging also comes as standard so you can easily charge it while hanging out in the holodeck.

The device is built by The Wand Company, a respected manufacturer of authentic film and TV memorabilia and will make its debut at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) next week.
