Tinder have just released a new update with the intention to bring you more meaningful matches.

Tinder’s last update brought us ‘Super Likes’ which went down really well with users, but it also came with limited ‘Likes’ so that was a bit of a downer. This time around there is promise of better performance and new features that’ll make you more picky. Tinder have altered their algorithm to significantly improve the likelihood of getting a match. Not only will you be able to get more matches, with the improvement you’ll get more meaningful matches.

Now you will be able to add your job and education to your profile, making conversation topics more variable. Anything is better than receiving “Netflix and chill?” This was the most requested feature from users. The information will be taken from your Facebook profile, but you can choose to hide the new information on Tinder, if you choose to.

‘Smart Profile’ will highlight relevant information with your match, such as mutual friends and education establishments.

Messaging interface also got an overhaul with your recent matches displayed at the top of the screen, which will help you differentiate between matches with the same name, and help avoid awkward moments.
