The invite reservation list for the OnePlus 2 is now open to the public, just hours away from the handset’s launch event.
Just sign up from the OnePlus website for the chance to win an invitation to buy the OnePlus 2, OnePlus’ latest flagship handset.
“You can get an invite from friends who have purchased a OnePlus 2 already, or by participating in our contests and promotions,” said OnePlus. “For notifications about our contests and invites, subscribe to our newsletter, join our community on the forums, or follow us on social media.”
Like the OnePlus One, the OnePlus 2 won’t be available to purchase in a regular phone shop. It will be available on an invite-only basis.
Over 50,000 people have apparently already signed up, so you’d better hurry up if you want any chance of getting your hands on the new phone.
The Chinese phone manufacturer claims that it has around 30 to 50 times the launch inventory, which should hopefully prevent the same stock shortages the OnePlus One had when it launched.
OnePlus’ virtual reality launch app is also available on the Google Play store. This will allow you to watch the launch event in 360-degree virtual reality from your Android phone. A VR headset isn’t a requirement, but it’ll enhance your experience. The launch event kicks off on July 27 at 10pm Eastern Time. For those of us in the UK, that’ll be Tuesday July 28 at 3am.
