Steve Wozniak: Apple and Google should just be friends

If you know anything about the technology wars, you’ll know that the Apple and Google are one of the fiercest rivals out there, with Steve Jobs reportedly wanting to go ‘thermonuclear’ on Google. Steve Wozniak, widely regarded as the brains behind Apple’s computers, however thinks that an Apple and Google partnershiup would do a whole lot of good.

In an interview with BBC Click, Wozniak said that he found that Apple’s Siri lags behind Google’s Now service due to the latter’s access to the Google operating system, meaning it can understand complex commands such as “Go to Joe’s Diner”.

Of course an Apple-Google partnership is unlikely, given Apple’s insistence of going it alone, but Wozniak says that if he was still at the company he left back in 1987 — it’d be a pretty likely proposition.
