So pretty it hurts – Gun selfie kills man

A 43-year-old Concrete Walsh resident managed to fatally wound himself after posing for a selfie… With a loaded gun.

We’ve heard of selfies killing people before; there’s entire articles based on the stuff in dark corners of the interwebs. The latest Darwin Award goes to a man in America who somehow managed to shoot himself in the head while taking a selfie… All while his girlfriend watched.

Apparently, the man had been taking several photos posing with the gun previously and had removed the rounds. During his last ever close-up, he forgot to take out one round, which ended up lodged in his cranium. Skagit County Police are investigating his death as accidental and stupid.

That last bit might not be true.

However, this is a stark reminder for anybody who thinks posing with a live firearm for a picture is a good idea. Just don’t do it.
