Snapchat is a pretty popular app, as we all know. Just how popular? How does a $3 billion offer of sale sound?

That’s apparently the amount Facebook was willing to dish out for the social service. Not only that, but it was said to be in cash as well. That’s according to The Wall Street Journal, that said the company ended up rejecting the offer.

Apparently company CEO Evan Spiegel reportedly won’t even consider selling the company until early next year. For comparison, Facebook bought up Instagram for $1 billion a while back. So, yeah, Snapchat is indeed ‘pretty’ popular.
