Whenever a blunder like this comes around you often wonder just how much of an ‘accident’ it truly was. Everybody finds ‘leaks’ and ‘slips’ more interesting than official announcements, and feeling as if they’ve gotten one over on the corporation who has foolishly, in a moment of weakness, let the cat out of the bag.

Today is no different, as  Eurasian Software Market Manager for Sony Sercan Sulun mistakenly revealed that one of the best games of the PlayStation 3’s lifetime will be coming to PlayStation 4.

Speaking on a videogame talk show on Turkish website Multiplayer, Sulun stated that whilst there is no information about a  new  The Last of Us game, he did break the news that a port would be arriving on PS4 ‘as of this summer’. He also stated that the game will be available both physically and digitally, and would contain the original game’s ‘Left Behind’ DLC, too. The game will also receive a graphical makeover to make better use of the PS4’s power.

This should be exciting news for just about every gamer out there. With the PS4’s lack of exclusive titles so far, combined with the rampant critical and commercial success of The Last of Us, this seems like the perfect arrangement. Naughty Dog, the developers behind the game, have maintained up until this point that there are no plans to bring the title to PS4, this unplanned revelation may well force them to come clean. Or alternatively, Sulun could be wrong. We’ll have to wait and see…
