SanDisk has unleashed the new Dual Drive at Computex 2016, a USB stick with USB-C and USB-A inputs.
SanDisk are very much known for superb USB sticks, hard drives, pretty much anything to do with storage. The US company has continued that stellar reputation with a new future-proof USB stick. The new Dual Drive is a dual-sided flash drive, allowing users to switch from a standard USB-A stick to a USB-C stick.
You can already see the benefit of the Dual Drive. No longer will you have to plug your USB into a PC as middleman to transfer files. Just switch it to USB-C, and plug the Dual Drive straight into your phone (providing it has a USB-C port). It will be compatible with all devices with a USB-C port; smartphones, tablets and computers.
The Dual Drive offers a write speed of 150MB a second with 128GB of storage. A massive upgrade from their last dual effort. Pricing is surprisingly low, the new Dual Drives come in capacities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB costing $19.99, $29.99, $39.99 and $69.99, respectively. A UK price has not been confirmed but we can definitely expect it soon. The new Dual Drives will be sold through Amazon.
