Samsung’s new flagship, the Galaxy S4, has sold more than 10 million units in less than a month from commercial debut.
Released on April 27th, the device set a new record for the Korean manufacturer, Samsung said, generating sales faster than its predecessors, with the S3 reaching 10 million sales 50 days after launch and the S2 reaching 10 million five months after launch.
The company said it planned to introduce more colour options to the device, including blue, red, purple and brown (brown?!). Availability of different coloured handsets would depend upon country and retailer, with UK availability to be confirmed.
IT & mobile communications division chief executive and president JK Shin thanked the customers who had driven sales and said the company would “continue to pursue innovation”.
