An image that reportedly shows the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 6GB model has leaked online, suggesting the model could still be in the works.

We feel like it should be made clear that things like this need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Nonetheless, an image of what appears to be the retail box for a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 6GB has popped up online.

The new leak comes from Weibo user @KJuma and we’ve already heard talk that the variant could be launching in China very soon, with an additional 128GB of internal storage. You can see a few details written on the packaging which are in-line with the current Galaxy Note 7 hardware, somewhat proving its authenticity.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 6GB packaging: Photoshop or not?

The thing is, something seems a little off to us. The “6GB RAM” part seems poorly aligned, with the “6” looking a little smaller than the rest of the text. There’s also some odd blurring issues on some parts of the font, suggesting a Photoshop touch-up. Auto-focusing issues would not cause this patchy blurring issue described above.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is obviously an excellent handset and a 6GB version would be ever better, so we do hope these rumours turn out to be true. With the improved S Pen and IP68 water resistance, it’s the phablet that many of us have been waiting for.
