Samsung Japan have confirmed the existence of the Samsung Galaxy Active Neo.

The new diminutive device is designed for the active who take saving space much more seriously than those who bought the Galaxy S6 Active. The Galaxy Active Neo has a smaller screen with a display of 4.5 inches at 480p. Whereas the Galaxy Active offers 5.1-inches, Super AMOLED, QHD screen. Protecting it all is Corning Gorilla Glass 4, the latest from the American glass company.

The Galaxy Active Neo packs a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2MP front camera, 8MP back camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot for expandability (Which the S6 Active lacks) and a 2,200mAh battery with 4G connectivity. A battery saving mode is also included to ensure that you are not caught out in emergencies when you’re going on adventures.

There is no inclination that the Galaxy Active Neo will be released in the UK. It will run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, come in Solid Black and Camo White. Retail price will be 20,000 Yen, converted to British Pound Sterling £110. A release date for Japan has not yet been announced.
