Roku has announced a major change of pace for the company at CES this year. Currently known for its set-top streaming boxes, it’s now revealed a line of Roku smart TVs, complete with its own software.

The Roku smart TVs will have access to the 1200 channels currently available on the service. That includes the likes of Hulu Plus, Netflix and Youtube. You’ll also be able to use an iOS/Android app to control the thing.

There’s no word on pricing just yet, although Roku has confirmed that they’ll be launching towards the end of the year. It’s undoubtedly a big move for the outfit, which will now be competing with the likes of Samsung and LG.
