It’s Verizon’s turn for financial reports, and the company’s Q3 report postings are pretty positive.
The company has signed up a total of 1.1 million subscribers to its wireless services over the past three months. That takes its total user base to a rather staggering 101.2 million connections, with 95.2 million of those being postpaid. It also took $30.3 billion in revenue, which was a 4.4 percent increase over the same period last year. That made for $7.1 billion in profit.
It was also revealed through the Q3 report that over 99 percent of Verizon’s 3G network now had 4G coverage too. So anywhere you can get a Verizon signal, you’re pretty much guaranteed to get a 4G connection, serving some 303 million people.
The wireless arm of the company contributed $20.4 billion of that revenue, with was 7.2 percent higher than last year.
Headlines were recently made when Verzion bought back Vodafone’s chunk of the company. It would seem to be a smart move – the company is doing pretty well overall. This is the latest in a long line of successful quarters for them.
