Fresh benchmarking results have leaked of a mysterious Samsung device codename ‘Lucky’.

If you cast your eyes back to a recent leak of the Samsung Galaxy S7, you may remember that it had either a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos chipset and was supposedly due at the end of this year. While the latter rumour was probably false, a new leak does seem to confirm some merit in the rumoured hardware. Gforgames has noticed a mysterious Samsung smartphone codenamed ‘Lucky’ buried within the Geekbench database and a similar result has been spotted on Antutu.

The Antutu benchmark has full details of the device, showing an Android 5.1.1 device with 4GB RAM and a Snapdragon 820. The screen remains QHD in resolution, while the cameras also have the same megapixel as the previous Galaxy S6. Of course, one of the notable things about the Korean rumour was the possibility that Samsung may launch two variants. While no screen sizes are given, we could perhaps be looking at the smaller version. Nevertheless, the Geekbench scores show a strong result in single-thread and 3D tasks.
