Pokémon Go will be released in July

Gotta catch ’em all! Nintendo has confirmed the much anticipated Pokémon Go, will be released sometime in July for Android and iOS.

The mobile game will allow you to catch Pokémon in real life, but Nintendo did not specify an actual day of release. Nintendo did however announce a new wearable, the Pokémon Go Plus, an accessory with the game that will costs $35 (£25).

Nintendo’s new wearable acts as a notifier, when a Pokemon is somewhere near your proximity the Plus will blink a blue light. Upon discovering a Pokémon you can press the button the Plus to capture the Pokémon. A rainbow light means the capture was successful, whereas a red light means it got away.

The Plus will connect to devices via Bluetooth and is to be worn like a fitness wearable on your wrist. It will also let others around you know, you want to be, the very best, like no one ever was.

The game was recently available to beta tester in the US, Japan, New Zealand and Australia for the past few months.

The Pokémon Go world is your Safari Zone

Pokémon Go will operate differently from the main line Pokémon series where you have to weaken Pokémon before capturing. It will operate more like the Safari Zone where you try your luck by throwing Pokéballs. Thankfully you won’t have to use those useless Safari Balls (those who bothered trying to catch Dratini will understand), upgrading your Pokéballs to better ones is a choice, through the Poké Stop stores.

A definite date might not have been announced but at least we know its coming July. So close, yet so far. To catch them might be our real test, let’s hope making Pokémon Go a worthy title, was Nintendo’s cause.
