The new Nokia Lumia 920, will be available only on the EE network from launch while Phones 4U will be the only retailer to sell the Windows Phone 8 smartphone while the mid-range Lumia 820 will be available from O2, Carphone Warehouse and Tesco Phone Shop from early November.

Both phones are powered by Windows Phone 8 which is based around animated Live Tiles, offering instant updates. The phones also support wireless charging. They can be just rested on a dock to recharge. Virgin Atlantic plans to put wireless charging stations in the London Heathrow Clubhouse lounge to take wireless charging outside of the home and office.

Nokia is particularly proud of  low-light ability of the 920’s camera. Pictures and video without using flash are said to be possible in locations with five times less light than similar smartphones.
