Android 4.4 may have only been officially unveiled last week, but the current Jelly Bean OS has just passed a milestone. Over half of the Android devices currently in use now support the OS.

The company’s OS dashboard (below) is showing that some 52.1 percent of Android users now have Jelly Bean. Even then, that takes versions 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 into consideration, and it’s 4.1 that has the majority share (37.3 percent).

Its predecessor, 4. 0 Ice Cream Sandwich, still takes up 19.8 percent of the overall share, while 2.3 Gingerbread holds 26.3 percent.

How long will it take for KitKat to reach over half of that share? Will it even ever manage to pull it off?
