There’s always space for bigger tablets, in our lives at least. So we welcome the idea of a Samsung 12.2 inch tablet.
Digitimes is reporting that the Samsung 12.2 is indeed in development at the Korean company right now. It could be going into production as soon as the end of this year, with a new film-based capacitive touch layer utilised. If true, then said layer would be coming from Shenzhen O-film Tech, a Chinese company.
Supply chain rumours like this usually have to be taken with a pinch of salt, although don’t be surprised if we see even more rumours in the build-up to the new year. Perhaps – and this is speculation on our part – a CES reveal along with the rumoured Galaxy S5 is on the menu?
We’ll likely have to wait until January to find out.
