HTC has confirmed that last year’s One  will get a refreshed HTC Sense 6 UI update.

Although the manufacturer has yet to announce precise timings for the software update rollout, HTC told  TrustedReviews  that users of the handset can expect the new Sense UI shortly.

Aside from a reworked camera application, which cannot be fully utilised on the original HTC One, the new HTC Sense 6 UI brings a range of new features to the phone.

These include a reworked Blinkfeed interface, with colour themes and a continuous scroll of content added to the popular UX.

“We are looking to include HTC Sense 6 into the HTC One,” Graham Wheeler, a Product Manager with HTC told TrustedReviews.

“We’re not confirming the timing as yet. But we will look to include some of those features. Obviously it won’t include some of the hardware aspects such as the depth sensor in the camera. But everything we can include, we will include.”

Despite the HTC One M8 hitting retailers with immediate effect, the manufacturer has confirmed that the original HTC One will not be discontinued and will remain on sale in the UK.
