The OnePlus 8T is available to pre-order today

OnePlus has announced the launch of its latest flagship OnePlus 8T smartphone at a live event stream today.

The Chinese vendor gave viewers a first look at the device which will feature a host of next-generation technologies including a newly calibrated 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display and the fastest charger ever from the company – the Warp Charge 65.

The Warp Charge 65 offers users a full day’s power in just 15 minutes. It uses a twin-battery charging technology to replenish its 4,500mAh and takes 39 minutes to fully charge.

The OnePlus 8T also has 12 temperature sensors and an extra encryption chip in the adapter and cable to keep charging temperatures at a comfortable level while operating peak output.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 865 5G chipset and is available with up to 256B of storage.

There is also a quad-camera system which includes a 48MP main camera, 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and dedicated macro and monochrome lenses.

The device features Oxygen OS 11 which reimagines the OnePlus software experience with an improved layout, bold design, and other useful features.

The OnePlus 8T with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is available in Lunar Silver for £549. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of the device is available in aquamarine green for £649.

The phone is available to pre-order today and will be available through John Lewis, Amazon, and OnePlus directly from October 20.
