A OnePlus representative has reportedly revealed the launch date of the OnePlus 3 to a fan.

The curious fan simply asked a question us journalists have been asking for the past few months, but with more luck and better timing. Here is the conversation.

The OnePlus 3 is a one of the most anticipated devices of 2016 due to OnePlus’ previous efforts being light on the wallet but heavy in specs. Co-founder Carl Pei revealed in a blog post the OnePlus 3 will be launched in virtual reality, with Loop VR headsets shipping on June 6th. It makes a June 14th release look plausible as standard OnePlus shipping takes 3-7 business days.

OnePlus are cutting a bit close, but hopefully fans will see their Loop VR headsets in the same week its launched.

OnePlus 3 specs

Current rumours are pointing at a heavy spec sheet with 4GB/6GB RAM, 32/64 of internal memory, Snapdragon 820 processor, 5.5-inch screen and the return of NFC.

The source of the leaked conversation has not been verified so it should be taken with a pinch of salt. If the conversation turns out to be legit, it needs to be remembered that OnePlus has a knack for missing deadlines.
