Nokia Q3 sees ‘at least’ 8 million in WP sales

The Nokia Q3 results are in and it seems like things are looking up for the company. Despite the company’s Windows Phones devices supporting the least popular of the three biggest OS’s, the Wall Street Journal claims that it sold some eight million devices between July and September this year.

So it’s not exactly roof-raising figures, especially when compared to its rivals, but its still up on previous figures. In the same quarter last year just 2.9 million units were shifted and last quarter in 2013 saw 7.4 million units sold. It’s hardly surprising, as WP has been steadily growing in popularity and Nokia released the stunning Lumia 1020 in the quarter.

So a great Nokia Q3 then. There’s potential for Q4 to be even better with the Nokia World event happening, oh, tomorrow.
