Nokia may need to call a plumber, given there’s been so many leaks of its products recently that we’re starting to lose count. The latest product to be leaked onto the web is the rumoured successor of the Nokia Lumia 520, which has gone on to sell astoundingly well, the Lumia 525.
The photos come courtesy of an official certification agency, this time not coming from the United States’ FCC, instead arriving directly from the Chinese equivalent, TENAA. The phone itself looks almost identical to its predecessor, although it could have some upgraded internals, with a dual-core Qualcomm processor, 1GB of RAM and a 5-megapixel camera all rumoured. It’s also set to focus heavily on music, so we may see some impressive sound from the device — although don’t get too excited, this is still bottom of the Lumia heap.
Despite being the cheapest Lumia, the 520 has been an important device for both Microsoft and Nokia, with the device helping Nokia achieve a record 8.8 million Lumia sales, and garnering 23 per cent of all Windows Phone sales. The Lumia 525 is likely hoping to capitalise on that success.
