It hasn’t even been 24 hours since it was announced that BlackBerry’s CEO was leaving his post, but now we’re hearing another tech company has thrown its CEO overboard — or at least this time it seems to be voluntary. Acer’s CEO and Chairman JT Wang has announced that he will resign from the company after record losses at the struggling electronics giant.

Wang announced the news in an email where he expressed regret that he couldn’t turn the company around, with the company now forced to undergo a major restructuring plan, which result in the loss of 7 percent of Acer’s work force.

On January 1 Wang will be replaced by the company’s current president Jim Wong, who will undersee a whole lot of change.
