OPPO has revealed that its latest flagship will feature a seriously fast fingerprint sensor; taking just 0.2 seconds to unlock.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has been teasing its upcoming flagship quite heavily in the past few weeks and we already know most of what the device will actually look like on the outside. It’s also expected to ship with some good quality hardware components, including a snapdragon 652, 4GB RAM and a huge 4,000mAh battery.

Today, the company has revealed a couple of teaser images regarding the fingerprint sensor that will ship with the device along with some rather bold claims regarding its capabilities; the OPPO R9 sensor can apparently unlock in just 0.2 seconds. This means you’ll be able to start using the phone instantaneously… Providing it recognizes your fingerprint in the first place.

OPPO devices are nearly always pricey and this one will likely be no exception, with an expected tag of 2999 Yuan. This equates to a high £324, which is a lot for what is essentially a mid-range device.
