A user of Chinese social media website Weibo has leaked screenshots of the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 950XL running on an unreleased build of Windows 10 Mobile.

Microsoft’s upcoming hardware event is only around the corner, with a slew of new devices expected to be announced on October 6th. There’s been plenty of leaks regarding the hardware and what we can expect from the new range, though things seem to have kicked up a notch today.

MicrosoftInsider.es acquired a leaked image of the upcoming Lumia 950XL running on an unreleased preview build of Windows 10 Mobile. The build number was listed as 10547 which puts it on the same level as the current desktop OS. The image appears to be from Weibo user coolxap and shows various details about the upcoming handset. It seemingly confirms that the device will ship with a 1440p screen plus 3GB RAM, which is the same specifications quoted by older rumours. The System On Chip (SOC) number 8994 also confirms that the device will likely include a Snapdragon 810, which is again in-line with previous predictions.

There’s also the presence of virtual buttons at the bottom of the screen which leads us to believe that the 950XL may not come with the capacitive buttons usually found on higher-end Windows Phone devices.
