UPDATED: Mobile data out again for Three’s London customers

UPDATED: Down it goes again.

London Three customers are reporting further issue’s with the operator’s data network.

Wired’s Nate Lanxon reported on Twitter having issues with Three’s network, and other customers soon chimed in.  A number said they had had Internet access restored but that it had faded out again.

The issues follow widespread outages this morning for mobile data, with some customers experiencing call signal issues as well.

What Mobile forum members from Liverpool, Blackburn and Sheffield had problems accessing mobile data from this morning, although most problems seemed to have been resolved by this afternoon.

Three said some of its customers could be experiencing problems accessing the Internet and some account services while the network completed work relating to earlier network problems.

“Our engineers are working to restore services in full as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience.”

Some Three customers are experiencing difficulty accessing the Internet, as well as making and receiving calls.

Two What Mobile forum members reported they have been unable to make or receive calls on the network, one from Liverpool.

CNET reported other customers were also having issues with call signals.

Three said the services were being restored currently and that Internet access across London was back up and running.

“The whole network should be back to normal this afternoon, if not sooner. We are sorry for any interruption. Our engineers are working hard to make sure our customers can keep on internetting.”

The network operator’s website today displayed a message apologising for the inability of some customers to access the Internet.

Three’s statement in response to What Mobile’s questions about where, who, why and how was to apologise for some customers being unable to access the Internet.

“Some of our customers are unable to access the internet.  We are working to restore the service as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience.”

The network’s Twitter account also apologised for issues accessing its data network this morning.  The operator said it was being worked on “as a priority” and more information would follow.

Comments on the network’s Facebook page  in response to a further apology  said issues have been ongoing since early this morning (with some taking the opportunity to suggest that their alternative networked phones were working just fine).
