Microsoft has announced Minecraft will be coming to the Samsung Gear VR.

Microsoft and Occulus announced plans for the port, today at Game Developers Conference 2016. Specifics on the port is not yet known but it’s not expected to be on the same level as the Occulus version of the game. We’re most likely seeing a version more closer to to what we already see on mobile devices.

The Gear VR is the most attractive from a price point perspective, for only £79.99 you can experience virtual reality without smashing the piggy bank. A release date is yet to be confirmed, with Samsung giving a Gear VR with every Galaxy S7 pre-order, there will be plenty of willing buyers. Minecraft has been ported to almost every games console known to man, so it’ll only be a matter of time before we see Minecraft on the HTC Vive as well.
