Microsoft has confirmed that the Microsoft Lumia 640 and Microsoft Lumia 640 XL will be available to buy at very affordable prices. The Microsoft Lumia 640 is out now, whilst the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL comes out at the end of April.

The Microsoft Lumia 640 comes equipped with a 5.0-inch display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, a 1MP front camera, 8GB of storage and starts from £99.99 SIM-free or £15.50 on pay-monthly contracts.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL, meanwhile, has a larger 5.7-inch screen, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, 8GB of storage and starts from £219 SIM-free.
Microsoft Lumia extras
So what else do these cheap prices get you? Both include one year’s personal subscription to Office 365, which is usually worth £59.99. Packaged into the Office 365 deal is 1TB of OneDrive storage.
Both devices are 4G-ready and run Windows Phone 8.1, with an upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile when available.
You can get either device in a variety of colours. The Microsoft Lumia 640 comes in glossy cyan, white and orange and matte black. The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL comes in matte cyan, orange, white and black or glossy white.
