In an attempt to incentivise Xbox Music, Microsoft are offering an unlocked Nokia Lumia 520 with every pass bought.
Microsoft’s continuation of their disastrous Zune campaign, Xbox Music offers a Spotify-style streaming service, with a premium membership costing £8.99 per month in the UK.
Unfortunately the Lumia deal is only available in the US, but with a year’s pass costing $99 and the phone ordinarily retailing for upwards of $160 sim-free, it’s a pretty good deal no matter which way you look at it.
Those considering either getting a new smartphone (we gave the Lumia 520 a respectable three-star review in our magazine), or trying out Microsoft’s music service should give the deal serious thought – but don’t take too long about it, it’s only available until February 17th.
Those less interested in the Xbox Music pass but still looking to purchase a Windows phone might be more intrigued by another offer from Microsoft. Bill Gates and co. are also offering $200 trade in on your old mobile or tablet, providing it’s in good condition. Very generous indeed, and you can take them up on the deal until March 2nd.
