Microsoft Band 2 confirmed

Microsoft have announced their new Microsoft Band today at their live briefing.

The new wearable sports the same name but is of a better design. Microsoft Band will have a new curved Gorilla Glass 3 screen to maximise comfort and wearability. Cortana has been loaded on now to remind you to workout and spur you on like you’re Master Chief (except you’re less dead).

A barometer has now been added to measure ascension. So walking up hills or stairs, Cortana will know you put in that much more effort. Like last year’s Band, it offers GPS, heart rate, calorie and sleep tracking, guided workouts and smart notifications. The new wearable is compatible with iOS, Android and Microsoft Windows Phone devices.

You can pre-order it today and it will be released October 30th for $ 249.
