M8, successor to the HTC One, could be delayed until end of March

It’s looking like we’ll have to wait until the end of March until to find out if HTC’s latest flagship smartphone can save their ailing brand.

Super reliable Twitter informant @evleaks has tweeted that the sequel to the HTC One (thought to almost certainly now be called the HTC M8) has been delayed, meaning an unveiling in New York in just under two months’ time.

In addition to that, whilst the phone has yet to be seen by public eyes @evleaks went on to say that “the M8 looks strikingly like the M7”.

If that’s the word on the aesthetics, then info on tech specs has been even rarer. All we know so far is that it’s likely to have a five inch screen at 1080p resolution, making it slightly larger than the One.

Should the predicted delay come to fruition then the M8 will miss the Mobile World Conference next month. Perhaps HTC are hoping to get a bigger slice of media spotlight by waiting for the hype around the competition to die down?
